This update includes changes we would like to add immediately and not scheduled for the next major release it is free to registered users. Should you not be interested in the additions then you don't have to update, the software you have will still run. Process Area Spans added Pipe by Wall Thickness, matching Schedules added Process Area Spans are derived from 'Rack Spans' and reduced by a factor for various piping configurations. They give a good guide to initial layout and are not intended to replace final stress analysis. Using 'Process Area Spans' with 'Rack Spans', 'Loop sizing' and 'Pipe Leg', - which calculates the distance to the first guide, provide most of the information required to route a line complete with pipe support and guide locations. At 'Pipe by Wall Thickness' all the available wall thickness options under ASME are shown with dimensional and weight information. Not all wall thicknesses match a Schedule, for those that do, the Schedule is now indicated in the display and also in the selection drop-down list.
